People still have a misconception of revival. I think we’re getting beyond the thought that it’s just something we schedule a few days in the spring and fall… but there are still people that will attend a true revival and leave disappointed and dissatisfied - simply because they have the wrong idea of what revival is.
 
Visitors come from around the world to experience what God is doing at World Revival Church in Kansas City. Kathy and I look forward to seeing these hungry people come for a weekend and leave changed. Many times it’s a leader or pastor who visits and leaves with fresh vision for his or her ministry. But, I’m sure there are those that come and don’t quite experience all they hoped for. Maybe this little thought will help with that…
 
Revival is all about God. It’s about his presence coming down among a group of his people, changing lives, healing bodies, restoring relationships. But for him to do anything, it’s going to require YOU doing something.
 
You can’t expect God to just fly around the room or something. He’s got to have a place to land… a willing yielded life to fill. That means you, my friend!
 
It takes a responsive person to receive revival. You have to open your life for the presence of the living God to come on you and in you. Once that happens, then you’ll start seeing the presence of God come through you… to reach the rest of the world that need to know him!
 
People are being changed in revival. If you’re disappointed, then I would check your openness to God. Open your heart and let him in… then open your life to others and let him out again to touch MILLIONS who are waiting to experience the living God.
