There are many people sitting in church pews week after week wondering why they haven’t accomplished anything for God or why revival hasn’t come or stayed in their churches. I am certain there are a lot of good excuses that roll through their minds, but that’s just what they are, “excuses.” Many people are waiting on God as if He is going to come down on them and make their destinies instantly happen. This reminds me of throwing a bag of popcorn seeds in the microwave, zapping it for two minutes and poof, it becomes something ready to be used...or in this case, eaten.
The truth is most people in the world accomplish things by working at it. Think about the Apostle Paul’s lifestyle. Paul lived as if procrastination was a disease that would eat away at precious moments of His life. He was a hard worker who wasn’t limited with the idea of an eight hour work day. Paul set a pace in his life and worked tirelessly day and night to accomplish all He could for God. Paul was passionate and driven to do what he believed He was destined for!
Too many believers these days have become a part of a “Congregation of Minimalists.” They have chosen not to follow the examples of great men of God such as Paul and have chosen a different way. They want to get the most from God while doing as little as possible. This will never get God’s attention and they can forget about revival. Fortunately, if you're willing to stop clowning around, change and be more like Paul then God will come down and meet you. Many people talk about living for God, but you can either talk about it or live it. Remember the old saying, "Actions speak louder than words!”
