Summer is here and that means more time with the grandkids! It is a wonderful thing being a grandparent. It is fun to watch the kids grow up. When you are a kid you can show your weaknesses and your partiality and no one cares. My granddaughter, Allyson, has just caught the concept of fairness. For example, she and I both get allergy shots. We are allergic to everything, the grass, the dirt, the air; we both even have to get allergy shots every week. The other day her mom took her to get her shots, and when the nurse was ready for her, she hid behind her mom and said, it’s not fair, Grandpa doesn’t have to get shots today. Then, Ally was talking to her mom about someone in our church needing a babysitter. Ally asked her mom who would babysit her kids when she grew up and got married. My daughter told Ally that when she had a child she would be a good grandma and babysit for her. Ally said, well you couldn’t be better than my grandma (Kathy) she takes me anywhere I want to go, even if it is expensive. So aside from being a grandpa, I am working on writing skits for The Steve and Kathy show. We have been getting the skits filmed and are about ready for our next TV shoot. We were very blessed to have Marcus and Joni Lamb and the Daystar Singers here at the end of May to kick of our summer of Revival in the Heartland. God is doing great things at World Revival Church so why don’t you come and be a part of it! We look forward to seeing you!
