I have spent most all of my time as a minister trying to bring revival to God’s people. This Friday night, December 5, 2008 will be a night of increase for that message. The Daystar Television Network will be airing 90 minutes of the revival service from World Revival Church “live” across this nation and around the world. It will be re-broadcast again at 12:00 midnight. They have also requested the tapes from the Thursday, Saturday and Sunday morning services. Fortunately for all of us at World Revival Church, we just need to keep doing what we have been doing for the last six months four services a week and hope that the world can see and feel Jesus at work.
Today, it is common to hear prayers and sermons calling for revival, but is the church really ready for a real move of God. Of course, I want to hope so, but we have to realize that the Christian community is very divided as to what a real revival is supposed to look like. Revive means to come back to life. Therefore, we know a revival as we call it, cannot be an evangelistic campaign to “get more souls saved for Jesus.” No, a true move of God always begins with God’s own people being called to return to the Lord. This means there must always be a degree of repentance from what took our hearts away from God and an intense longing to get back in favor with God. A true move of God will take an ax to the root of our selfish lives and upon the stump left over grow something fresh and new and vibrant. True revival brings us into a personal crisis with our lack of commitment, sincerity and worldly ways. Is the Christian world ready for that? We shall see because that is exactly what I am going to try to do with the wonderful gift God and Daystar have given us at World Revival Church. Pray with us that the church world goes for it. I can guarantee, if they do, that it will change the future of our world and bring the blessing of God back to America.
Talk soon,
P. Steve
