We are overwhelmed with the opportunities that have come our way from what is traditionally called the “secular” world. Sometimes I wonder if those we call secular are more righteous than the religious. Anyway, we are meeting next week with the producer of a secular prime time TV show in England. They want to produce a documentary of the Pentecostal movement and are looking for a place where God is really happening. So, they are coming next week to plan the show. They said to me, “people all over the UK are interested in healing and the power of God” so we are looking forward to meeting

Wow what a great week we have had around here. It has really been busy but very successful. I want to tell you how impressed I was with everyone at the Inspiration Network. I went there to be a guest on one of the shows, but left there making friends. Kathy and I visited their new offices. They were really nice but not half as nice as the spirit of the employees. They were so kind and gracious to us and truly made us feel at home. I just thought you might like to know that I sensed a spirit of integrity and genuine desire for revival in America.

Well, just got a phone call this last evening that The Steve and Kathy Show has received 4 Emmy® Nominations from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Of course, that doesn't mean we will necessarily win, but it is a big honor even to receive a nomination from such a respected organization and from those outside the religious community. The winners will be announced October 4th.

Sorry to all for being so slow in posting a new blog. It is just another sign of how busy things have gotten. The good news is my new book, “My Absurd Religion” will be available soon. I will have the new copies ready to send to the press in about a week I guess and then a couple of weeks later, you can get your copy. One of the reasons it has taken so long is because I was about to throw the project in a closet and forget about it. I was beginning to think that the entire idea was just too risky.

Few people on our planet don't want to know God. Most would love to have a God encounter. They do not want to encounter our religion and as strange as it sounds to the average church attendee, they do not want an encounter with our morals either. They want to encounter God. So why do they stand so far off from most of us who are called Christianity? They are concerned they will only get the morality of God without encountering God himself. They have a valid concern. I have been to hundreds of churches where I didn't encounter God either, and I fully believe in him.
